Three people died as a result of the shelling of a volunteer center in Donetsk

At least three people were killed as a result of the shelling of a volunteer center in the Shakhtyorsky district of Donetsk, 11 people were injured. This was announced by the governor of the Astrakhan region Igor Babushkin, noting that among the dead there are residents of the region he leads.


« Unfortunately, there were three Astrakhans among them: Alexander Matveev, Georgy Sherstyukov and Alexander Khovriko. The guys were there on a peaceful mission and were engaged in the distribution of humanitarian aid,»,— he said.

According to him, search work is underway on the fourth person.

The headquarters was shelled on 10 July. Volunteers of the Young Republic organization suffered. Today, the victims were visited by First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Sergei Kiriyenko, Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin and First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Andrey Turchak.

“All the necessary medical care is being provided to all the wounded. They are treated by the best doctors, including our volunteer doctors, who, together with the humanitarian mission of the “United Russia” arrived in Donetsk. They say that there is no need to transport children for treatment to Russia now, — wrote Turchak.

In early May, Kiriyenko opened the headquarters of the All-Russian Mutual Assistance Action “We Are Together” in Donetsk. Yeetzel— organizing humanitarian aid, coordinating the activities of volunteers, as well as providing legal and psychological assistance to local residents.
